Speed Blog: Saxon's Birthday

Saxon turned four in November and I admit it. I had an agenda for his birthday party.
Who can resist deep fried potato happy faces with unlimited amounts of ketchup?
That birthday cake looks delicious....
That birthday cake was delicious!

I am already looking forward to what will be served for my birthday party!

Trixie's Summer Adventure Continues in England

Back in England, we had a visitor! Maxime came from France to stay with us for a week. We spent a Saturday in the countryside picking blackberries... ...and playing in the Wendy house at the pub.

Oooh, this is interesting. A potty. Can somebody tell me what this is used for?

Hydrangeas! My Aunt Kate loves hydrangeas. This photo is for you. :)
It's an English rose (with her brother, dad and friend) in an English rose garden.

Who doesn't love tickles?
Don't worry, there is even more! Stay tuned.

Trixie Triumphant!

You might have wondered if I could. You might have though I never would. But it was actually about providing the right incentive. This is just a testament to the power of one maraca...even if my brother stole my lego and got in my way. Yeaaaaa Me!

Sun Daze

Out in Surrey with Mom, Dad and Saxon to look at flowers and enjoy the Springtime.

Getting more confident but still love to hold Mommy's hands.

Me and the guys.

Not Quite Walking

Many people want to know if I am walking yet. The answer is slightly more complicated than a 'yes' or 'no' answer. You see, I want to walk. I like to walk. I even cheer myself on yelling "go! go! go!" as I walk.
Sometimes, I forget that I haven't yet walked by myself. What is this? A flower? Must stretch out a little further to touch it...
Mostly, I haven't walked yet because I am a very cautious little girl. I'm just not ready to let go of mom and dad.
On the other hand, I do other things. I like to smooch. I make a big mmmmmmmm sound and then go in for a wet one.
I feed myself just about anything I can get my hands on. I try to use the spoon sometimes when mom isn't paying attention but that is trickier than it looks.I am saying all sorts of things. "What's that?" "Hello!" "Sasson." "Go!" "Mama." "Dada." "Nite, nite." "Bye, bye." "Blast off!" "Row, row, row" (your boat). And other stuff that I can't remember right now.
I love, love, love my brother. So really, what's the rush to walk? I am having so much fun just being me.

I'M ONE!!!!!

It's the Birthday girl here! It has taken me a few weeks to get the festivity photos uploaded but here they are...

My birthday cupcakes

For my birthday, Saxon gave me a very special and unique gift--his delightful vomiting tummy bug from nursery school. Just as soon as I ate a cupcake....erp! back up it came.
Before the cupcake...

...after the cupcake.

Redressed and composed, we lit my cupcakes (for a second time) so Saxon could blow out the candles (for a second time).

My birthday present was a bee on wheels. A bee for Bea, you might say.

On Saturday, we had a birthday brunch for me and grandma, grandad, Uncle Tim and Aunt Rebecca came for the festivities.
Grandma made me a special cake with Peter and Mrs. Rabbit.

Grandma needed help cutting and serving the cake and Saxon was happy to oblige.

Here are the kids, strapped in. Do you think they are getting the hint that I am hungry?

Pretty sophisticated for one, don't you think? Yeah, I think one is going to be a pretty good year.....

I am a big girl now!

It's my birthday today and I am ONE! I can hardly sit still to take a photo because the world is so interesting and fun.

But I am getting very tall and I speak too. I say 'mama,' 'dada,' 'nitenite,' 'peekaboo,' 'ssss' (for Saxon) and my personal favorite 'hello'.

I love to say 'hello.' Every morning when my mom comes in the get me up, I say to her over and over, "hello, hello, hello!" I say it to Saxon and my dad and even Kari. I say hello to myself in the mirror. Who knew that "hello" could be such a useful word?

Saxon has promised me cupcakes later for my little party this afternoon. Stay posted for more birthday photos!

Wherever You Go, There You Are....

The best part of being 10 1/2 months old is living in the moment. We went somewhere and rode on big machines. Saxon got really excited and started to talk loudly about someone named "Thomas."

Mostly, I don't really know where I am going...but I do enjoy the ride.

What would YOU do?

So, here is a situation....a moral dilemna, if you like. Mom, Dad and Saxon are running around like crazy trying to get the car packed to go to Saxon's birthday party at Gymboree. Mom belts me into my car seat and Dad puts the newly made cupcakes up on the back shelf where they will be safe. On the way, a biker pulls out in front of Dad and he makes a sudden stop. I am eerily quiet until we get to Gymboree. Mom opens the door and...

I mean, if six cupcakes fell into YOUR lap, what would you do? Yes, as a matter of fact, you DO see two completely empty cupcake cases in my lap. I managed to eat two whole cupcakes and take significant bites out of three others in less than 10 minutes!
Did I mention that my new favorite food is cupcakes?

Diaper Changing in Exotic Locations

According to Saxon, we went on holiday. I am not really sure what that means but here I am in my car seat going somewhere.
This is usually what happens after 10 minutes in my car seat.
Next thing I know, we are there...right?
Does a holiday mean tht I get in my swimsuit and play with my feet?
Or maybe it means getting in my stroller and riding around to different places?
I did go to a sandy place called a beach but, it was a bit too sunny for me.
I liked riding in the grocery cart for the first time!
But my favorite part of my holiday was traveling with my mom like this.
So if this is a holiday, it is really quite nice.
